Senior Police Generals Arrested in Pretoria Corruption Crackdown Linked to Medicare Tshwane Contract
Several senior police officers, including high ranking generals, have been arrested in Pretoria in connection with a corruption investigation linked to the Medicare Tshwane District contract.
The arrests mark a significant development in what is shaping up to be a major crackdown on alleged procurement irregularities involving law enforcement officials.
According to sources close to the investigation, the arrested officers were part of a bid committee responsible for processes related to the awarding of the Medicare Tshwane District contract. Their alleged involvement has raised serious concerns about possible manipulation of tender procedures and abuse of power within senior policing structures.
It is further understood that a former senior employee linked to controversial businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala is also among those who have been taken into custody.
Authorities have not yet released the full list of those arrested, but multiple sources confirm that several high ranking officials are currently being detained at a police station in Pretoria.
All suspects are expected to appear in court tomorrow, where more details about the charges they face are likely to emerge.
The arrests come amid increasing scrutiny over corruption within public sector procurement processes, particularly in high value contracts linked to service delivery.
This is a developing story and more information will be provided as it becomes available.

@destiny_ndlovu There's no insult here, these two are alpha males. They took what they wanted, they didn't wait for handouts. We may blame their methods.

@AdvoBarryRoux I feel sorry for Dumisani for being rejected by his own child. He might have left but he never rejected his own.

@Musa_Khawula Nice ties but the label to some must not be visible. Some of us like quality but we don't want to show off 🤣.

@Tina_Hokwana His argument is misguided,he was never lawfully released. Furthermore, he has not provided proof that he was lawfully released.
He claimed that he was released by the executive branch of government, however, he does not provide proof of himself being pardon by the executive.

@Malatjie_ @zwidenyapT Young couples skip the vat 'n set period (co-habitation) & discover later that they are not compatible with each other.
Vat 'n set is very important step towards a lasting marriage.

@AdvoBarryRoux Rutendo is the peddler of disinformation & a propagandist of note.
I wouldn't be surprised if he is causing this chaos just to exaggerates his influence.
He might not even care who becomes the president as long as it someone from ZANU-PF.
English

News coming out of Zimbabwe is that Rutendo Matinyarare is being attacked after he opposed Emerson Mnangagwa's attempt to extend his term to 2030 unconstitutionally without undertaking a referendum.
Since he took this position, some ZANU PF actors have alleged that Rutendo is being sponsored by Simon Rudland to campaign against Mnangagwa staying in office until 2030. However, Simon Rudland could never benefit from Rutendo’s stance. The one likely to benefit from the President not serving his full term is actually the ambitious billionaire Kudakwashe Tagwirei who Rutendo has been promoting to take over after the President.
It would seem more likely that Kudakwashe Tagwirei is the one Rutendo is campaigning for, more than Simon Rudland, who has no Presidential ambitions.

@AdvoBarryRoux Dr Ndlozi is not genuine in his criticism of politicians. He was silent on the issue of Shivambu visiting Bushiri in Malawi but is quick to criticize Malema.
If he's genuine about fighting crime he should equally critisize anyone who associates with criminals.

@EMdletshe73983 @Abramjee Procedural or substantive unfairness would be determined once the dismissal has taken place.
If the SABC procedure permits precautionary suspension without the other party providing reasons why they should not be suspended. The procedure followed may be determined to be fair.

[COMMENT]
Sgt Fannie Nkosi has been caught out again…
Just last week, he denied under oath at the Madlanga Commission that he paid SABC journalist, Natasha Phiri, for Musa Khawula’s contact details.
Now, clear evidence shows a payment of R500 was in fact made.
This is not a minor contradiction — it strikes at the heart of his credibility.
And it raises serious ethical questions about the conduct of an SABC journalist.
The national broadcaster cannot afford to stay silent.
SABC must act — and act decisively.
