FINAL: Astros 2, #Dodgers 1

Long post incoming: tldr at the bottom You are free to fan and post however you want, but you cannot deny the discourse within the fanbase is at an all-time low. There is a significant portion of people who, despite being able to be proven wrong, statistically, are dead set on specific players being bad regardless of the situation. Posting “slop” on the timeline is rewarded more than good content from, e.g., @MikeyMcLeodFan and @armchairalex. In fact, I guarantee most people have not seen a single Substack either of these accounts have posted. With all that being said, the fanbase has been openly toxic regardless of the success of the team, and that’s not even mentioning how bad it got last year. The team can go .500 for the rest of the season and still win 89(?) games and make the playoffs. Obviously that would be not good given the circumstances, but “doomer posting” over every single thing is not good for discourse. They’re going to lose 40-50 more games. At least. The sun will come up every day after the fact. I’m saying this all to say, please, just please stop being so doomer-minded, and I guarantee the viewing experience and fanbase experience on the app will become A LOT better. TLDR: Stop doomer posting, enjoy baseball, reward good content more.
