To whom it may concern:
I am officially retiring from NC State fandom. No more money. No more wasting time or stressing on the same bull shit. Too many decades already down the drain. I’m out. Totally and completely done.

@bivpack I think most of the excitement of the hiring/anger over leaving, was not about WW specifically. It's that for the first time in forever, we hired a first choice that most everyone thought was a good hire.

@WolfpackRobNC I know we chatted in winter about Wade leaving…I’m not writing to say I told you so or anything. And I’m not sure you even want condolences. You guys will be better off in the long run with a coach who is ethical. You were always better than Wade. He’s a snake.

The joke for decades use to be State fans would pull for the Soviet Union over UNC.
There’s a large percentage of fans that would pull for UNC over LSU now.

Before you guys send hate towards Will Wade remember you aren’t just attacking a coach but a father, a husband and a CHRISTIAN. One bad season shouldn’t takeaway what he’s brought to this program. We should be looking forward to seeing him continue to lead our Wolfpack!

@wolfpacker74 Diamond was for sure a factor in the 22/23 team underachieving, but not the only 1. If there are parallels w 22/23 & 25/26, it’s that both seasons we lost a team nucleus that was together for several yrs.

@WolfpackRobNC Fair. Given how this team performed compared to recent ones and how the one with Diamond as the lead guard performed relative to those previous teams it made sense to draw the comparison. If I’m wrong that’s on me.

@statefansnation Absolutely. My interest was already lessening just from the sheer repetition of doing the same thing for a lifetime. And NIL/the portal is hastening that. I’m probably out entirely from spending $$ on this in the next 2-3 years. Maybe sooner.

Major credit to the fans in Carmichael who gave #UNC a home-court advantage. But I can’t help but see Iowa filling its arena on a Monday afternoon after Carolina couldn’t come close to doing that on a Sunday afternoon. That program deserves more support than that.

@primetimeMitch @TheNCSportsNet I read most of it and frankly could tell it was AI from the jump. Most every collegiate sport that isn’t men’s 🏀 or 🏈 loses money. Those two keep the entire athletics dept afloat.

@TheNCSportsNet buddy I'm not reading all that but Texas Tech has more money than they know what to do with. It's not about running a business for them, it's about winning. Softball ain't making money either and they've put millions into that team.

Texas Tech obviously has cash — see also: Cody Campbell, what they’ve done in football and softball — but it does seem like money faucet hasn’t been turned on to full blast for women’s hoops. Curious to see if that changes this offseason after a strong year for Gerlich.

@ncstatestats We really didn’t get rolling until the 19-20 season. The bulk of those Cunane teams stayed intact. But prior to that, we weren’t at the 20-25 levels. Portal of not, when you lose a team nucleus, it will require a reset.

@WolfpackRobNC Somehow we managed to not need resets before the portal and shouldn’t need them with it. Those were his two most talented teams too
