This is one of the Bond collectables you feel proud of owning. Yep, some of the "cool stuff" looks silly by now (audio clips, images and videos in low resolution) but it's still worth having. The trivia game is a lot of fun, too.

@empratt2 @JustSpringY84 @D4niel_2005 Caine readapted it as a pre-credits sequence set in 1986 showing Bond and Trevelyan working together, and he wanted to place Bond on the trail of Trevelyan without knowing it's him. France's draft already established Alec (or Augustus) as the enemy.

@empratt2 @JustSpringY84 @D4niel_2005 Well, there was a "flashback" of storts halfway into it to an operation to rescue 006, imprisoned by the Soviets, conducted by 007, 003 and 005. It concludes with Trevelyan betraying them and signalling their position to his captors. 003 and 005 are killed, Bond narrowly escapes.

@JustSpringY84 @WolframBooks @D4niel_2005 Always curious about that, but now that you mention it, I bet it was to say it was before Dalton to “erase” him. Michael France’s original script , which was written with Dalton in mind had no time jump. And Trevelyan was much older, the previous M.

@D4niel_2005 Incidentally, one of TLD's deleted scenes (carpet ride) show a "Tangier 1987" banner, so it's clear the events of the film happened in 1987.

Never in a million years I could imagine he would defecate on Cubby's legacy to the point of killing (and humilliating) the character.

@BrianSu08754815 The scary part is how so many were fooled at the beginning myself included and still are today. 15 plus years later. It takes a real man to admit he was wrong and an idiot but that’s something certain types of people in the bond fandom cannot do.

Last night's movie was a rewatch of The World is not Enough. Of Brosnan's four films this one has probably aged the best & feels like 'classic' Bond to me. David Arnold's score 🎼 is excellent too. 👍🎬💿 #JamesBond #Physicalmedia

@monsieurmaybach Interesting information. In that case, it would almost coincide with the game's original release date (November 2003) and the actual release date (February 2004).

@WolframBooks Excellent writeup! With EON I would note that the 9PA Cayenne Turbo first hit showrooms in December 2002, and the Triumph Daytona 600 did so in April 2003. It's snowing in the Pamir Mountains *and* in Moscow, so that would put the setting around November - March of 2003 / 2004
