This is a false analogy. A woman who was a pedophile, rapist, or murderer would not be celebrated under any circumstances or at least in the same way. Promiscuity is not equivalent to pedophilia or rape, and treating them as morally interchangeable is both inaccurate and uncharitable.

I agree. Snape is a VERY specifically written character and that his look is VERY INTENTIONAL in giving an insight into who the character is on the surface and below the surface. Snape’s look is what plays into his character reveal. He’s suppose to have a pale gothic-like look, something similar to what you can see in a Tim Burton movie. IMO It is no different than making a bio pic of MLK and he’s a Latino or white actor, MLK not being black goes against the narrative and same does for Snape, making him black goes against the characters narrative.

I'm against ANY race swap that alters the lore of any popular character So if that's what's happening in new harry Potter then I can understand those against it
