In my opinion, the Pope is an elected official. There is no mention of a Pope anywhere in the Bible. He is essentially the elected leader of the Catholic church, and that's fine.
But don't assign him spiritual importance he does not possess beyond that.

It's not ageism to suggest that there's an age, once reached, when politicians shouldn't be making decisions that impact millions of lives.

I think the Marco just needed a position of true leadership to shine. I think he was held back in the Senate where it's really not a leadership position but it's just sort of a group think position.

After many years, I paid off my house 24 years ago anticipating retirement. As a senior on a fixed income, it is difficult enough with inflation to make ends meet. It is ridiculous that I am still paying “rent” on my home through property taxes and if I don’t pay, my home could be taken from me. Local county appraisers, municipalities, and school districts, along with politicians in Austin, form this cabal to keep the money flowing for out of control borrowing and spending when we ordinary Texans are struggling to live day-to-day.
