Finch literally called him a point guard after his big game against Denver.
He said he previously misused him, and asked him to be something he's not. He said TJ was at his best when he had the ball.
Shannon's role next year is probably more of a 2nd unit ball handler/initiator

Lazy analysis. Hayes is light on his feet for his size. But they arent in the same tier if you are talking about natural athletic abilty/lateral mobility/physicality.
Joan brings everything Hayes does right now and more, and Joan has only been playing basketball 6 years.

We will see how this plays out while Rocco develops his game and body in Minnesota.
Me and my brother thought the exact same thing about Naz when we were in vegas watching him during his first summer league stint.
Different body types. Different feet. But time will tell.

If Connelly hits on Rocco and Joan, it could be very interesting.
Rocco's ability to stretch the floor compliments Joan so well. And if Joan can truly step out on the perimeter and guard NBA wings, it could make for very cool combo.

He would absolutely pick Minnesota's TEAM.
But he might not pick the state of Minnesota, and the city of Minneapolis.
And he may find it to be a less gruelling path to the finals in the eastern conference.
But the roster around him in Minnesota is the best fit.

If you need to put the ball in his hands he can operate the PNR, if you need him to play off ball he can be a highly efficient spot up 3 ball shooter.
If you need him to guard he can guard.

Josh Green is an excellent complimentary player to play alongside some guys like LaMelo and Ant.
Guy can really pickup the slack on the perimeter and guard 1-4.
We've seen his archetype work alongside stars.
Not saying hes Dort or Caruso. But he can be some version of that.
