Thanks alot @proofofstory and @RobertSagurton for this podcast. This is my first podcast and would always be really close to my heart, as I wanted to highlight few important points here. First and foremost, the clean drinking water issue in Pakistan is really serious, as more than 21 million people still do not have access to clean drinking water and over 55,000 deaths every year are caused by the water related diseases. These stats are just too alarming as they are families, children and communities suffering from something as basic as clean water. Secondly, I really wanted to share that as a crypto community, we should keep finding ways to contribute back to the society. We often forget, this space is about community and creating a real impact. Honestly, @fogo has always felt like a home to me and always nourished me in different ways. Since ay 1, Fogo has been my safe space. Massive community led by @im_jowee, @jumplifey9, @miketherizzler and really under your shadow I learned, connected, contributed and felt supported every single day. I really want to thank my brother @notuzzs0l for introducing me to Fogo, and I'll be grateful as this community has given me so much. Huge love to every single person who is part of Fogo and especially @RobertSagurton, never seen a founder who keeps such a close eye on every little thing happening around and continues to show up with so much care and attention. Thank you for conducting such an amazing podcast and really helped me in settling so well 😅 This podcast really proves why the community matters and why Fogo will always be special to me.

Just Heard the news of @BitMartExchange shutting down and this pattern is required to be studied. In just the last six months, there are vast number of projects have announced or about to announce the shutting down, projects like AscenEX, BitMEX, ZeroLend and now BitMart. We also have an entire Crypto graveyard, this is only a small chunk of it. IMO, the significant issue here is not just the market being bearish. There is not enough sustained demand, liquidity or the attention to keep hundred of exchanges, L1s, DEXs and the lending protocols alive. Usually, only the top one or 2 category leaders captures the majority of the users and liquidity, while the entire line of similar ones offering almost the same products becomes irrelevant and fade out of the market. BitMEX is really a good case study. It was once a recognized derivative exchanges in crypto, but just prior to announcing its shutdown, the market share reportedly fallen below 0.1% with trading volume around $400,000. Obviously it makes no financial sense to carry this project forward. Token launching and the incentives create temporary activity but you just cannot manufacture long-term demand for the product if it doesn't offer something special. Therefore, projects will need genuinely different tech, better product experience, stronger and timely distribution, or an entirely new problem worth solving. Otherwise, another L1, another exchanges, or any other similar protocol is just bound to struggle. This opinion is without even discussing the teams that raises a significant sum, barely ship anything and quietly disappear at a later stage. I honestly believe more projects will follow this path It may be harsh but truth. I also believe crypto may also need this cleanup before truly useful products can stand out and take the crypto space forward.
