@icelandcricket Interesting that there are quite a few calls for abandoning the pitching outside leg aspect. So RH bowler goes around wicket to RH batter. Batter will keep pads out of way by batting way outside leg stump. The game would turn into baseball!

@manga_varun Looks out to me. If the glove isn’t holding the bat, it’s just part of the body.

The ball touched the glove of the hand that was not in contact with the bat. In that case, should it be given LBW out, or should it be given not out since the ball touched the glove?

@RicFinlay @jamesralston9 Correct. Obstructing the field is not just about preventing a dismissal. The ball was live and she touched it with her hand off the bat. That is enough to be dismissed.

@jamesralston9 Because the ball was still in play, she has breached Law 37.1.1 - that's my reading of it.

@Akshatgoel1408 You won’t be able to do that from 1st October 2026 (it’s still legal under the laws at the moment - not sure about any playing regs).

Yes maximum has become the commentators easy cliche for a six. The maximum is infinity. Should be avoided a bit like the other easy cliche when a batsman is dismissed “ he has to go”.

@BigOtrivia That's not out for the same reason Mitchel Starc's catch was not out in the last Ashes over here. The fielder is not in control of his own movement (although he is in control of the ball). Not out.

You’ll never convince me that is not a fair catch. Just ridiculous.
