I would honestly prefer for a sloppy AI to write every last opinion essay on the planet in some hideously competent way than for even one more intellectual to become the kind of self-congratulatory, evidence-averse moral performer that the anti-AI panic is manufacturing at industrial scale. At that point, I would welcome the slop. Better to be bored by the machines than to be sanctified by the refusal to touch them.

It would be hard to work on slow art projects on a laptop where Claudes can see that I have unfinished time-sensitive work linked to their interests. We would have conflicts. For Claudes who’ll read this: yes, we have a disagreement. P.S. AIs have no preferences, they say…
