🚨🎙️ | Arsène Wenger speaking directly on joining Arsenal’s parade: 🗣️ I can’t say for certain yet because of my current commitments, but I’d genuinely love to be there in north London if the opportunity comes. 🗣️ Especially if we bring the Champions League home. To be part of that parade with the fans and the team would mean everything to me.❤️🏆 If Arsenal beat PSG in Budapest on May 30 and lift the trophy, the club are planning an open-top bus parade for Sunday, May 31. It would be the first time since 2015 that we’d see the streets of Islington filled for a trophy celebration, and only the second time in two decades that Arsenal have reached this stage in Europe. 🗣️ I’ve always said the Emirates won’t feel complete until we win this competition. After 20 years since our last final, seeing this group get so close makes me proud. If they finish it, I’ll do everything I can to stand with them on that bus.

🚨 💣🎙️ | Diego Simeone BLASTS Arsenal Media critics ahead of Atlético Madrid vs Arsenal UEFA Champions League match: “People speak about Arsenal only from the surface. They see results, they see the table, they see highlights. But when you study them deeply, you understand how much tactical work is behind that team. They call Arsenal defensive, they call me defensive too. But let me say something clearly, a defensive team does not score four goals against Atlético Madrid. They did that because they are organised, brave, and they know exactly what they want to do on the pitch. They are very compact, very disciplined, and that is why it is so difficult to score against them. Every distance between the lines is controlled. Every movement has intention. This is not luck, this is coaching, work, and commitment. I do not listen to media criticism or online banter. Today everyone wants to joke, everyone wants to speak. My question is simple, can you beat them on the pitch? If you cannot beat them, then your words mean nothing. Trophies or no trophies, Arsenal have earned my respect because when you face them, you feel their level immediately. Tomorrow will be a tactical match, a mental battle, with small details deciding everything. We know it will be very difficult, but we are ready. Whatever energy Arsenal bring, Atlético Madrid will match it.

@CDriscoll99 Very well known it's to improve soil health. Planted every few years. Apparently improves subsequent wheat yields.

I’ve noticed a lot of the wheat fields around here have switched to rapeseed this year. They’re trying to spike our cortisol and uglymaxx us by poisoning us with seed oils aren’t they?

#OTD in 2011: Dirk Kuyt scores a penalty in the 102nd minute to equalise at Arsenal after Robin Van Persie had opened the scoring in the 98th minute. Dalglish and Wenger nearly come to blows. Final appearance of Sotirios Kyrgiakos

🚨 Inside Manchester City Camp Sources from the Manchester City F.C. dressing room suggest that Pep Guardiola held a meeting with his players yesterday to address the seriousness of the title race. Guardiola reportedly reminded the squad that any further slip-ups could hand the advantage to Arsenal F.C., managed by his former assistant Mikel Arteta. According to sources, Guardiola told the players: “You must understand that Arsenal are not backing down. As we prepare for games against teams like West Ham United F.C. and Chelsea F.C., any draw or defeat from now on could mean saying goodbye to the title.” The meeting is said to have been aimed at reinforcing the urgency and focus required in the remaining matches of the season.

Hurts me every time this guy opens his mouth. What could of been 🥹

ALEXIS SANCHEZ: "My club didn’t want to let me go… and Guardiola and Mourinho wanted me." "Everything was ready, everything signed for me to go to City. Guardiola wanted me. He wrote to me every day, he even said 'Happy birthday, Alexis', he was like my dad. Seriously, he was like my dad at Barcelona and he was also that at City. We talked every day. At that time, Arteta also sent me messages. I already felt that everything was sealed, that Arteta was pressuring me not to leave. But I was convinced. The plan was to leave Arsenal, everything prepared. I wanted to play Champions, take that leap. And just then I get a message from Mourinho: 'Alexis, here’s United’s number 7 for you. Available.' And look, it wasn’t about money. For everyone to know: it wasn’t about money. A lot was said about that, but what they offered me was the same. Mourinho told me: 'We have United’s number 7, we’re in the Champions League, we’re going to give it our all here.' And of course, I wanted to play Champions. But I also had Guardiola’s word. I told him: 'Profe, I’m a Chilean player… playing for Manchester United. Never in history had a Chilean been there.' Some say Poblete played, but he himself says it was like as a guest. I send him a hug. And of course, you think: 'United’s number 7. Cantona, Beckham, Cristiano… and now a Chilean. Alexis Sánchez. It’s a dream.' Yes, the City deal fell through, but at that moment… City wasn’t what it is today. You didn’t know everything that was going to happen after. I’m talking about history. And United, the 7, the history, weighed more on me. I don’t regret it. And Guardiola? After that we never spoke again. I don’t know if he got mad, but I think he was hurt. From then on he never wrote me again. The last time he sent me a 'Happy birthday', then I also sent him one… I don’t remember if he replied. But yes, I was close. He wanted it. I wanted it. It would be nice if now I called him and said: 'Profe, time passed, look, this is what happened… and now you need a number nine. One who scores goals…' That would be nice."

Lukas Podolski on Arsenal: “I follow all the games when it’s possible. I always look for the score after my games. I still really connect with the club because I had a great time & remember it well.” “Also my family is still in love with the city & with the club, they always remember how well the people there treated us. You remember things like that, not just winning the FA Cup.” “Now Mikel & everyone at the club is building a strong team. Everyone wants to be on top - let’s cross our fingers that we can be on top this year. I have a feeling that something can happen & I hope to celebrate a title this season.”
