New Minister for Indigenous Reconciliation and Northern Affairs was asked about residential schools and he says he believes at the time he thinks they thought they were doing the right thing. That children were taken there to “learn new skills”

@CBCManitoba What the actual hell? To have someone so completely tone deaf in this portfolio, especially at this critical time in reconciliation, boggles the mind. What a shameful and sickening statement.

@cartski Nothing in the order about HCW families, so presumably they came alone. Nothing in the order about players’ families requiring vaccination. It’s ridiculous.

@WpgCycleChick But I thought HCW families went too? The order is only for the HCW itself. Presumably the unvaccinated player families are in the same household and will be separated inside the arena. So risk is supposedly similar to 2 families walking along a road.

Soooo, families of Jets players can go to the arena to watch them play, but I can't sit outside with my elderly parents. Ok, cool. #notcool @WpgJetsPR
