We didn't copy or get inspired by Inscryption and Balatro as I've been making solitaire games since 2007, but those games helped lay the groundwork for more people to be willing to try out our wacky solitaire game, and I'm very grateful for that!

I’ve seen some people unsure of who to pick in +R, so I have some advice. If you want to see progress quickly then pick a character you really enjoy practicing and playing as. However, if you want to win tomorrow, pick Dizzy.

@ClaudiaTheDev I was talking to someone else about coining the term "underground". Until it eventually loses meaning through the inevitability of creative industries.

We need a new term for indie games. Because how is a solo dev spending years building a passion project like Blue Prince with minimal funding in the same category as massive studios making AA/AAA-scale games with huge teams and multi-million dollar budgets (E33, Baldurs Gate)?

@AestheticGamer1 @DUSKdev Watching you work on Take the Dream IX back on...I think it was called Hitbox TV? That is what got me messing with RPG Maker 10 years ago. Crazy how much has happened from then til now....and how my first step into a commercial project is an RPG Maker game reimagining.

@DUSKdev I fell in love with your games with The Music Machine years ago, so if ever have an idea up that alley there, a I'll be there.

Just to make sure everyone is aware, before Dusk I was making walking sim horror games, and I'd do it again for sure if the right idea came along. I've never seen a difference between meaningful minimal interaction and meaningful complex interaction in game design.

@AnxiousNeck Maybe we should label ourselves as "Underground" to separate from the term indie (or at least what the term indie has kind of evolved into now). At least until someone gets lucky and makes money...then it will get taken over and the cycle begins anew.

Mixtape isn't indie. My game had the budget of under $300 and was made by me, myself, and I over the course of two years. Support indies. You don't have to support mine, but don't pretend that Expedition 33 and Mixtape are indie. #indiegame #gamedev #indiedev

@holohaloz Seeking help and getting treatment was a healthy choice. 💜 Probably something I should have looked more into back when things were *really* bad for me. I pulled through, but it probably could have been healthier / easier.

@Wr41thX The finch app is also pretty nice :) It's worth trying if you think you need it. But I was doing pretty bad LOL. That's why I had to get medicated

@holohaloz Yeah, I get that way at times too. I can get really stuck in my head. I mostly overcome it by doing small things amd building habits out of it. Like opening Unity every day, even if I dont have a great plan for what to do that day.

@Wr41thX I took 5mg today (I'm prescribed 10 but often half it) it seems like even a little bit made a huge difference for me. Then again my ADHD is pretty bad. I'll be time blind and just Frozen in my bed for hours at a time. It's really stupid. No motivation at all
