Besides Jacob Fatu vs. Roman Reigns, which I think is going to be EXCELLENT, I think the sleeper match of the night at Backlash is Iyo Sky vs. Asuka. Yes, they’ve faced each other before, but this feels different. With the spotlight on them and likely plenty of time to work, I think they’re going to remind everyone just how great they are. Both were left off WrestleMania, the original direction of this story changed after Kairi Sane’s release, and it feels like Iyo and Asuka both have something to prove right now. I’m expecting a LEGIT Women’s Match of the Year candidate. Roman vs. Punk will be tough to top on the men’s side, but this has the potential to steal the entire show.
