JUST IN: AEW will have roughly 12–16 months to secure a new television deal with either Paramount Skydance or elsewhere. Paramount, though, already has significant business ties to WWE’s parent company, TKO Group. Sources close to Khan say he has told associates that AEW is prepared to move to YouTube, presumably as a temporary placeholder while seeking a new partner. (Per @JFMcMullen)

When wwe signs you to a contract, they can cut you without honoring the agreed time frame of the contract . Sometimes burning a company that could provide you several guaranteed years of employment (ex. Aew, njpw) for a wwe conttact that can cut you in a year of a 3 year contract might not be worth it. The good bros. Signed a big contract & wwe didnt honor it is a good example. Aleister black was employed by aew for 3 years & only got 1 year out of a wwe contract Jeff cobb left njpw & only got 1 year out of wwe.

@TheRajGiri WWE doesn't honor contracts, and TK won't let wrestlers who want to leave go, freezing them for months, and some have even been there for a year 🤷🏻♂️
