Two sisters from Toton, Nottinghamshire have both received bravery awards from EMAS. Maisie and Grace Tooley, aged 11 and 12 respectively, came to their dad’s rescue when he became seriously unwell at home on 13 September 2024. emas.nhs.uk/news/latest-ne…

Q: What is considered a life-threatening emergency? A: Only call 999 if there is an immediate risk to life eg cardiac arrest, unconscious or catastrophic bleed, or if seriously ill or injured, eg stroke. Ambulances will be dispatched where clinically appropriate.
