It’s beginning already. The fracturing of the liberal party will continue unabated as An*us Taylor attempts to out do One Nation at being One Nation. I’ve spoken about this many times - because it is logical. The further right that the federal liberals move to compete with the populist rhetoric of One Nation in an effort to pick up a few votes - the more the liberals will continue to compromise their balance and their centre-right and moderate liberal constituents. Over the last 10 years the Liberals have seen a mass exodus of moderate MPs, including the latest in Sussan Ley. There are few moderate liberals left at federal level. That void will be filled by Teals, by Independents and even Labor - as the electorate becomes increasingly repelled by populist politics, racism, culture-war divisions and associations with the tangerine turdine. That outlier Taylor is scratching at belongs to Hanson - and has done for a while. Some liberals at the federal level are expressing concern. One says “the party’s soul is being corroded by hate” If those in the liberal party can see it, what do their constituents see? theguardian.com/australia-news…

My grandfather said he’d never move into a retirement home. He said, “Too expensive… and the food tastes like someone boiled sadness.” Instead, he checked into a beachfront hotel. We asked, “Grandpa, isn’t that even more expensive?” He smiled and said, “Not really. At the retirement home, I’d pay $200 a day for cold meatloaf and no visitors. But here? For $150 a day, I get ocean views, room service, fresh towels, a pool… …and suddenly all my grandkids remember I exist every weekend.” Then he leaned back in his chair and delivered the final line like a mob boss: “And if I die in the hotel lobby, the manager will actually look disappointed. But at the nursing home? They just call it Tuesday.”

budget makes clear: - only 5% of Australians will be affected (95% don't get discretionary trust income) - disability trusts, deceased estates, charitable trusts, income from farms won't be affected, nor will fixed trusts - people are using these trusts to avoid tax

Aus, this is how useless the Qld media is. Premier David Crisafulli elected on a youth crime reduction ticket but not living in his electorate of Broadwater. He's 71km away in Bulimba in Bris. AND THEN, you guessed it, youth crime in Bulimba. AND THEN 0 questions to him. #qldpol

Trump just got exposed for running the biggest insider trading operation in American history. Nancy Pelosi traded $5 million in stocks and Congress lost its mind. Trump literally executed $750 MILLION worth of stock trades in ONE quarter while being President. His ethics filing just dropped and the numbers are genuinely unprecedented in history: Between January and March 2026, Donald Trump personally executed 3,700 individual stock transactions worth between $220 million and $750 million. That's roughly 60 trades PER DAY. While signing executive orders, meeting foreign leaders, and making policy decisions that directly impact the companies he's buying and selling. Now here's where it gets really insane: On February 10, Trump bought between $1 million and $5 million worth of Dell stock. Three months later, on May 8, he stood at a Mother's Day event at the White House, thanked Michael Dell by name, and told Americans to "go out and buy a Dell." Dell stock surged 14.6% that day to an all-time high of $263.99. Since Trump's February purchase, Dell is up 96%. And 5 months BEFORE Trump bought Dell stock, Michael and Susan Dell donated $6.25 billion to Trump Accounts, one of the largest philanthropic commitments to a sitting president's signature program in modern history. So the timeline goes: Dell donates $6.25 billion to Trump's program -> Trump buys Dell stock ->Trump tells America to buy Dell from the White House podium -> Stock hits all-time high And that's just ONE stock... The same filing shows Trump bought Nvidia stock on February 10. One week later, Nvidia announced a massive chip deal with Meta. He bought more Nvidia stock one week BEFORE his own Commerce Department approved the sale of Nvidia chips to Saudi Arabia. He bought Intel stock starting in March 2026. The US government already owned a 9.9% stake in Intel worth over $41 billion. On April 30, Trump posted on Truth Social praising Intel, writing that "Intel Stock continues to rise." Intel jumped 3% in after-hours and is now up 140% year-to-date. He bought Palantir stock while his administration was actively handing them billion-dollar government contracts for immigration enforcement and defense. He bought Robinhood stock while his own Trump Accounts program uses Robinhood as the broker. He's currently sitting on over 100% profit on AMD, Intel, Bloom Energy, Marvell Technology, and at least 10 other positions. Every single president since Lyndon B. Johnson has used a blind trust to avoid exactly this situation. But Trump didn't. His assets sit in a trust controlled by his own children, and the filings show a broker acted as agent on several trades. The White House says the portfolio is "independently managed." But here's what independently managed looks like: Buy Dell stock. Three months later, publicly endorse Dell from the White House. Stock hits all-time high. Buy Nvidia stock. One week later, your own government approves their chip sales. Stock rips. Buy Intel stock. Post about Intel on Truth Social. Stock jumps. The government you run already owns a 10% stake. Buy Palantir. Hand them contracts. Buy Robinhood. Route a federal program through their platform. Nancy Pelosi got absolutely destroyed for her husband's stock trades. Her husband's total disclosed trades in his most controversial year were worth roughly $5 million. Trump just disclosed up to $750 MILLION in a single quarter. While making the actual policy decisions that move these stocks. This isn't a left or right issue. We're talking about the President of the United States averaging 60 stock trades per day in companies his own administration regulates, contracts with, and publicly endorses. What do you think?

Congratulations to Labor’s Luke Richmond on winning the seat of Stafford in yesterday’s QLD byelection. It is particularly interesting that Luke won considering that he had only four weeks to prepare. The QLD LNP government were keen to snatch this Labor seat and wanted to make the lead up to the byelection as short as possible. What I witnessed during this campaign was the grubbiness of the QLD LNP in action. They threw everything they had at Luke - negative media campaigns, the spectre of corruption in the CFMEU, the supposed scandal of Annastacia Palaszczuk’s partner that had nothing to do with her, the intense and continuing attempts to associate Luke with so-called union corruption. .. and then there the online trolls and online media smearing of Labor and Luke 24/7. No Labor MP in QLD was safe in their support of Luke. The trolls descended in their droves - incessant, belligerent, insulting, peddling spite and hypocrisy like toddlers in a sandpit. One might think that the LNP had literally paid for an army of trolls and bots to do their dirty work for them. 🙄 Now that it’s over and Luke has won Stafford - the negative Nellie naysayers are out and about with their narratives of the “swing against Labor”, “rigged elections” and “preferential voting favours Labor” It is to be expected, considering the repugnant campaign that the LNP ran in the media and online - that there would be a swing against Labor. If it were a fact that compulsory preferential voting favours Labor, then why did the QLD LNP win the 2024 state election? If compulsory preferential voting favours Labor, how is this possible? The naysayers who are flogging the anti-compulsory preferential voting in QLD for all its worth might want to consider a couple of points. One Nation did not field a candidate in the Stafford byelection - and if they had I’m pretty sure that the LNP would have preferenced them. This may have changed the outcome. They might also want to consider then that those preferences can also help the LNP. Considering the results of the 1998 QLD state election, however, when ON were riding on a percentage high and the LNP lost to Labor, they might want to be careful what they wish for.

Hey Angus- did you check your facts in your haste to demonise immigrants??👇🏻👇🏻
Abul Rizvi@RizviAbul

@Ryandally08 PRs don’t have access to most of them on arrival. Eg Age & Disability Pension - 10 year wait. Jobseeker & similar - 4 year wait. Youth Allowance; Paid Parental Leave - 2 year wait. Childcare has no wait to maximise new migrants into workforce. NDIS has no wait due to health test.
