Ladakh administration orders magisterial enquiry into the “serious law and order situation created on 24/09/2025 in Leh and the resulting police action leading to death of 04 individuals.” The order follows persistent demand by civil society groups- Leh Apex Body (LAB) and the Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) for a judicial enquiry into the death of four civilians, including a Kargil war veteran, who were killed in police action during violent protests on September 24 in Leh city, to demand constitutional safeguards for the region.
