Sprat. They are disappearing and we must take action now.
They are a critical part of our marine ecosystem, supporting seabirds, dolphins, salmon, cod, and even the fish we eat!
Pair trawling in our bays by larger boats is having an impact. The ban needs to be re-introduced.

A special day on Sunday in Dingle Bay, spotted Aquarius the orca then had 3 humpbacks feeding in the afternoon! Doesn't get much better than that! What a island we live on but we need to ensure these areas + key species like sprat and sand eels are protected and managed

@CorkGreens Pretty convinced that addressing biodiversity loss is a more pressing human survival imperative, but agree both are crucial, and linked, issues that far outweigh any of the short-term political manouverings and posturing of the various candidates.

Classic. Couldn’t even use an image of a gull species that actually occurs in Ireland. So much misinformation out there about gulls despite the fact that some of them are amber listed and are a threatened species in Ireland.
