@thedoublebruce @FlintDibble The genetics of crops and animal being domesticated as well as the complete lack of any evidence for it is a big one. Also technology leaves traces. Mines, stone quarries, timber harvesting all those leave traces. There isn't any supporting a pre-Ice age civilization.

What a stupid claim. None of us think we are close to a full picture
However some hypotheses can be falsified. And a global civilization with advanced technology from the ice age is one such false claim

Being kinda into them is fine.
Being heavily educated on their history and use in a formal fashion can be fine.
But anything in between is weird.

@DrakonSvant @MarcusCVance I highly doubt GW will ever clarify what Machine Spirits are or what their effects are. And that's probably for the best. Machine spirits are like the lost Primarchs and legions, any official answer will likely suck so just keep it nebulous.
