Yes, losing the pick hurts, especially after the type of season the Pacers just had. But the organization still believes it’s in a strong spot moving forward because they didn’t completely mortgage their future, and they acquired a capable big man.

Pacers lost the trade by not getting, and being able to keep, a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft.
