@elonmusk @xai It would be bold to have an AI based flora teaching biomimicry to other AI agents learning how to compute the intersections of neurogenesis & botany. Computational forces should be used to accelerate our human neurological evolution and intergalacticness.

Sharing some thoughts on bill C-18 e.g. Big tech vs. the Government of Canada. Some starting points: - I have no skin in the game so this is just my opinion - I believe that quality journalism is extremely important to a well-functioning democracy - I’m not pro-big tech (or anti big-tech)- I’m simply sharing my views. - I’ve worked on the agency side, publisher (Google) and at my previous company led several corporate strategy mandates for some of Canada’s most important traditional media outlets Despite its good intention, the law as it is written will not help Canadian news organizations. The traditional media business model is no longer tenable in a world where content is infinitely abundant and algorithmic curation is constantly improving. Advertisers have a fiduciary duty to invest where they obtain a better return, not enhance a social cause albeit a positive one. Most news organizations realized this long ago and have prioritized subscription-based models. They had to diversify in order to survive. Two good examples are LaPresse and LeDevoir that successfully navigated this shift. Despite these efforts, it unfortunately appears the size of the subscription market will not support the current cost structure of newsrooms and number of news organizations – simply put, most people will not pay for news. So where do we go from here? I don’t pretend to have a magical solution. One thing is clear is that traditional news (TV, radio, newspaper) is in terminal decline – which by the way happens to every industry. We must realize that this is case before we can come up with a solution. Propping up an old model is not sustainable in the long run. The current legislation aims at taxing the tech companies is simply prolonging the inevitable - which by itself may be a good thing if it allows these organizations enough time to adapt. Another approach is to focus on small independent news organizations that have a digital first model. Above all, fresh thinking is needed. One cursory look at the advances in AI and you can imagine that quality content will approach near zero cost. With that assumption in mind, new funding models need to emerge in order to create quality journalism.

If a whole organizational structure is built on compliance. No creative Drive can be expressed or emerge and it can even extinguish amaZing minds and attract narcissistic leaders who will passively watch the parade of lost souls by fear of beeing unmasked

@AdeleMcAlear @Hepworks Yes it does but a bit expensive since it works with the books. I think remarkable tablet and notability on the iPad replaced the need for such a pen
