I’m actually surprised that’s a 2 second exposure given the lack of trails or shakes anywhere… ISO seems high also but I suppose 1600 is possible instead of 600. I wasn’t sure what gear they were using at all, just spitballing settings I would typically use… multiple ways to take the same image with various settings. They used f/2 which is a stop open from f/4, so obviously they had a 35mm prime lens. 85mm would have done the job equally as well with a slightly tighter crop (not sure if the NASA images have been cropped or not).
I’m assuming these are NASA website EXIF data correct? I have to go look now … I’m curious what they used as their go-to settings

“Auto Mode”
Or
1/10th second exposure at f/4 or f/6 with a 85mm focal length at 600 ISO… just set camera once and it comes out perfectly every time. I’m sure they had cheat sheets for settings just in case.
But without a doubt this is an incredible image and I’ve made it my desktop wallpaper
