I think the biggest factor will be your addiction to the speed with which you can build things using AI. You will become incapable of slowing down and doing meticulous human code reviews. I can build a useful app in a day now. My number one wish? That Opus was faster. 🙃

Folks don’t want to hear this, but my guess is, in a year, you won’t look at the code your agent writes at all. Doing so would be both beyond your ability and pointless.

@WyattCastaned44 Get a @FrameworkPuter instead. But, if you're getting a MacBook - look at getting homebrew setup asap. There's a new rust version floating around that has better package management I believe. Then look at as many dotfiles as possible, steal what's useful.

@reinink I have no other options, so happy to have it. However, because it’s the only options where I live, everyone else also has it. So during peak hours it can really slow to a crawl. Have had trouble with video calls dropping audio

Hey folks using Starlink — do you like it? How reliable is it? Are video/screen share calls solid? My experience with it to date is that it's great if you don't have other options (ie. in a rural area), but it still doesn't feel the same as a fibre/DSL connection.

One thing I’m coming to learn is that the behind the scenes “sausage making” is generally not as intimating as it may seem from the outside. Just a bunch of people doing the best they can with limited time, knowledge and resources. You can just do things 🤷‍♂️
