If you've visited Jita IV-4 recently, you may have seen Lei Aulmais in their bright yellow Avalanche sitting on the undock. What's the weirdest thing you've seen in Jita, #Tweetfleet? #EVEOnline

It’s time to go diving, but I live on the East Coast now so my go-to of the Big Island doesn’t make sense anymore. Where in the Caribbean should I go from DC (direct flights only)?

Hence the idea that AI goes FOOM. Right around when it hits human capability we should expect it to very rapidly surpass human capability, and then rapidly surpass that level of capability, and so on until it hits some asymptote.

And of course since doubling how good the AI is itself feeds back into how much of the process can be automated, all things being equal you'll get from 98% automated to 99% automated *faster* than you'll get from 1% to 2%.

@TheEconomist I'm sure this public anxiety is completely natural and uninfluenced by paid promotions and astroturfing by marketing departments at bottling companies.

@doctorow To what extent is the Ferguson system ‘set in stone’ by, for example, laws, judicial decisions, preexisting contracts, etc? Hopefully she will not face insurmountable obstacles.

Cory Doctorow NO LONGER ON TWIT TER
Ferguson is not alone in funding itself through legal harassment. In America, the Blacker a city is, the more it fines its residents. priceonomics.com/the-fining-of-… Jones's win a small step, and long overdue, but it's also a small sliver of goodness in a time of rage and sorrow. eof/

#COVID19 #CoronavirusPandemic I’ve thinking about 🇨🇳 & why no significant rise in cases even as ppl start going back to work & restrictions are lifted gradually. See graph👇. Before trolls start hurling venom about the CPC; remember: half our PPE supplies come from China.
