Was able to go observe 2 teachers doing escape rooms today which I really wanted to see! Love our chief culture they were welcoming to me on a minutes notice and shared so much! @LapierJames@WysongKim@Nicoles3344
Our Mystery breakout was a huge success. Kids were begging for more activities! We hit on standards throughout the entire year, all Students were held accountable and were needed to be able to reach the next level. They even had to “schedule” apts with me!
One of the greatest sights as a teacher...this is what reading success looks like, when she’s reading a book she just can’t put down❤️#nmbmchiefs@nmbmchiefs
Tried out a Socratic seminar for theme and Monsters are a due on Maple Street... and my mind was blown. These kids intently and purposefully wanted to debate their ideas and proved them with evidence. The videos do not even compare to their greatness🤯 @nmbmchiefs
Students taking the initiative to help improve their peers writing! They loved reading each others’ memoirs, even better, they were anonymous! No names, working on revisions! Upping the rigor! #nmbmchiefs@DISgradyhcs
Students learning outside the box- using their knowledge of plot, setting, character traits and feelings, and theme- to analyze this drama helps the story unfold-such a great activity! @JohnAntonetti@LapierJames@DISgradyhcs@nmbmchiefs
@pulte I would love for you to be able to talk to my classes. At my school we are teaching kindness, self love, along with creating positivity throughout our community. We just started a girls club, but they haven’t seen outsiders positivity!
ABC Dialogue. Teaching students the importance of dialogue by having a conversation on a specific scenario while only using certain letters of the alphabet! @nmbmchiefs#nmbmchiefs
Our lady Chief Champions throwing away all their insecurities. This was amazing and heartbreaking. The willingness of our girls to want to love each other and themselves is just beautiful
