@Critical_Mrs Bazaars make for awesome dungeons. Caravanserais even more so. Both are IMHO severely underrated and underused. Many European city centers were a giant mall —with each street devoted to a specific guild. Malls all the way!!

I thought I would try designing some fake book covers with the help of midjourney and hueforge. But maybe also phone covers to look like books. If anyone has any cool ideas for fake book titles let me know and I'll make them! Also would like to gauge people's opinions on using an AI tool for modelling? Good? Bad? Grey?

@3djake_official Not fake, but "A Clockwork Orange" and "A Study In Scarlet" immediately pop up to mind. From an AI ethical point of view, both the White Book of Rhydderch and the Red Book of Hergest would be perfectly fine, IMHO. (FWIW, those are the main sources for the Welsh "Mabinogion").

@adrianbowyer A belt case? Back in the day, it was my usual old case with a strap sewn onto it. (Nowadays, I would over-engineer something 3D printed with a hard outer case and an inner TPU-ish lining, but that's me.)

@ex_nerd @Extrutim @Polymaker_3D @3djake_official Quite true. Alumina is safer for frequent handling, but you'd have to "handle it out" much more often. FWIW, don't know if it's the case with blue silica, but I've found that "low" temps (like 80-ish C) tend to mess with the color-change ability of orange silica.

1/2 Excited to see how the @Polymaker_3D Polydryer performs. ‼️ An absolute no-go, however, is that it's delivered with the blue silica gel whose color indicator contains cobalt dichloride which has been proven to be carcinogenic! #3dprinting #3dprinter #3dprint @3djake_official

@ex_nerd @open_erv @Extrutim @Polymaker_3D @3djake_official Very likely so; but if you want to use activated alumina or colorless silica gel like @Extrutim suggested, there are humidity indicator cards. Same problems as with colored silica, but in _far_ less amount... and you can put them anywhere.

Don't buy a PEH sheet for #3dprinting, for they don't exist! Instead, for a heartfelt texture, use #OpenSCAD to generate slicer modifiers. Change a couple of default parameters, and voilà! Examples printed in @SpectrumF_3D Taffy Pink. (Link below).

Stand for your paint bottles with #OpenSCAD! Make them stand up or stand down, but always stand out! Outputs for #3dprinting or 2D for #CNC, stackable, step-able, dismountable, and overall very able. Use any included bottle type, or define your own. printables.com/model/637202-p…

The other project… RIP for now. Apparently, the @Polymaker_3D rolls don’t do well with the under-carriage design of the @Prusa3D Mini Base. The Mini feed tensioner was squeaking and found out it was starved of filament. 🫠 Solution ideas anyone??

@RichRap3D @Polymaker_3D This. Many refill manufacturers do "reinvent the spool" with their new non-standard format and refillable spools — not reusable/multi-use. ("Refillable" meaning that you need to use all the filament before you can refill it again, highly unconvenient for ranges of colors/types.)

@Polymaker_3D The filament refill market is huge if you make it really easy to load a filament coil onto a robust multi-use spool like the #Masterspool or whatever works for your production (cardboard core) But make it multi use & switch a product line like PolyTerra over to refill coils only.

After finishing our market research we concluded that the refill spool market is very small. However everyone want us to launch it. Why would the market ask for refill but not buy it? (real refill, not refill sold on a master spools)
