Have you tried applying some grease to the Z spindles? You're not supposed to do that because the nuts are self-lubricating, but I also had the problem at first that the Z axis was never properly leveled, which resulted in scratches on the print bed. Since greasing the Z spindles, everything has been running smoothly.

I agree. That plate was freshly cleaned with Dawn and warm water before I tried that. And did you notice the nice gouge the printer put into the plate surface (from when it was printing the first Magneto helmet)? That's TWO different build plates it has ruined; this @SliceWorx3D one, and my @WhamBamSystems PEX plate.😢

First layer test on the @Prusa3D #XL5T not looking too good.😢 Given all the issues I’ve had, and how the techs at @PrintedSolid didn’t find anything wrong, I’m seriously starting to think I’m too f’ing stupid to own this printer.

Hm, interesting. I can't see the Prusa Mini, the MK4S nor the printer discount rewards on printables anymore. I wonder whether they're cooking some changes there. 🤔

That would be very interesting! I always enjoyed watching the livestreams, and it was a whole different level of connecting with the community. It would be great to see regular streams again in some form that involve the community and perhaps offer a little bts insight into what is being worked on, e.g., the slicer or printables!

@MattStultz @themitch22 I'm strongly thinking of starting a much less formal one with occasional visits from the more known faces, with a bigger focus on guests. Think that would be something interesting?

Thanks, @Extrutim for making PolyDryer models available. I already designed a plug a while back and wasn't relishing the thought of having to design a replacement foot for one that I lost. Your model did the trick. I appreciate it!

As a carpenter myself, this printer warms my heart. Too bad that the price (understandably) is in a dimension that you have to request it. Hopefully, there will be a similar, larger, and more affordable edition someday. @josefprusa

@josefprusa I just tested it and it's so cool to see the belts swing in slow motion! But I'm still not sure what the “sharp regular peaks” are supposed to look like. I hope the article will explain this in more detail.
