For some reference. I installed #Artix #dinit #XLibre #Xfce in an unusual environment called the AMD BC-250 and enjoy photo editing, modeling, remote networking, and more. This isn't recent, it's been over three months. There was a specific setting in dinit, but it was fine.

@anarchotaoist Yes, the answer is in github.com/xlibre-arch/xl…. Basically, install the respective `xlibre-video-*` packages first, and then you're able to install `garuda-hardware-profile-standard-x11`. We'll update our documentation shortly.

@XLibreDev Huh. I am on Garuda also & will switch, well, to SonicDE (which has some XLibre?), so is there an answer? The forum was non conclusive.

On Jul 5, a #GarudaLinux user was seeking help related to #XLibre and Garuda packages on the Garuda forum. He's been told to remove XLibre, and the thread has been locked. We fixed the underlying dependency issue and assure you that you're welcome at github.com/xlibre-arch.

@italomourag Yes. We would have liked to direct the user to our repository, where he could have found help, but the thread had already been locked.

@XLibreDev we know the real reason why garuda unfortunately doesn't include xlibre in its repositories, but it's still fair to encourage users to stick to packages officially supported by the distribution. the issue is the tone of disdain, which is already well known.

@SonicDesktop @Joe46791334 @XLibreDev Nice! I don't necessarily want to be locked to Wayland since I heard the PG27AQN can't use ULMB 2 without disabling the VRR Range. A friend of mine managed to get it done on X11 and I think it should be doable on XLibre given how closely related the two are.

The GitHub user bry4n12255 is working on #AnbryInput, a small experimental Xorg/#XLibre input driver focused on low-latency mouse and keyboard input. In his measurements, it performed roughly 20-35% better than #libinput. #Xingsday github.com/bry4n12255/anb…

@XLibreDev Yeah, it seems to run great. Although I switched to SonicDE recently since it seems like the better option. Still having issues with screen recording and SDDM but it loads when going into TTL and running startx

@outtathebox5319 The AnbryInput and libinput have different scopes and usage scenarios. There's also xf86-input-evdev as well as xf86-input-mouse/xf86-input-keyboard. We're following the development of AnbryInput and will take a closer look once the developer considers it past experimental.

@XLibreDev Awesome, can't wait to test it out .. my usb mouse/keyboard lags especially when I change virtual desktops ( I have 8) .. Will this driver go into xf86-libinput because that's the only driver I need for XLibre and mouse/keyboard? 👍
