@ironequity2025 @Polymarket It can’t but Chat GPT that day was on a weird one. It was just hallucinating code despite the fact I’d given it all the syntax.

@Ayase_Chii It’ll even itself out, I did for me eventually. I engaged with a few Japanese posts and all the English posts disappeared for a while

@RobinNakamoto @Apple Already looking to switch from Apple. Their privacy features is what led me to them, now it’s what is driving me away. Vote with your wallets.
English

.@Apple what the fuck is this?
I’m on a US Apple ID, I don’t want this shit on my phone, and I don’t want to comply with Keir Stalin’s idiotic Online Safety Act. You can’t fucking turn this shit on my phone without my knowledge or consent. Don’t make me switch to Android, ffs.

@HardwayRuse I didn’t know it was that influential! Thanks. I assumed most Americans whiskey would be derived from Irish whiskeys
English

@XVagrant12 The UK is surprisingly underrated for their contribution to alcohol. Especially considering how Nikka and Suntory owe their whiskey legacy to Scotland, and the fact that 70-80% of ale beers in the market today have English origins.

@AvonandsomerRob I’m happy with my Nordics
I do miss smoking Marlboro sometimes though, especially if I am drinking

@GamewithDave Everyone seemed to have a job and be getting along just fine, the economy was booming.

@asmartbrunette1 @0hour1 It’s like the same with when the French get accused of being cowards or surrender monkeys, funny but absolutely false
English

I am not denying those contributions. Just pointing to the fact, the French government in exile was based in London. London remained in the war because of American material aid that kept Britain in the war.
I feel like the Americans contribution is downplayed if anything because everyone focuses on their combat contributions in Europe, which was huge considering they we fighting a war on two fronts. They are right, uncomfortable truth but we would likely have lost if not for them.
English

@asmartbrunette1 @0hour1 This assumes the American contribution to the war was purely combat. You’re not wrong but it sidesteps their material aid that kept us in the war up until Pearl Harbour
English

@0hour1 Oh bullshit. The French Resistance was instrumental. By the time we entered the war the allies had done major damage. Study your damn WW2 history

@DiligentDenizen @CodyPalmer7 In fairness, we’re seeing it a lot in the UK. My algorithm is showing South American posts too automatically translated into English.
The Japanese just seem to post more stuff worth engaging with for most people so then the algo floods the feed with more.
English

@CodyPalmer7 The machine is pushing it on Americans

@NoContextBrits Our heritage cities are amazing, York being my favourite

Our food is terrible, we’re protective of tea
I ordered a “British tea” in Taiwan and they frothed the milk. I honestly felt like I’d been personally insulted and sat in the cafe for 30 minutes in a dilemma
Giving it back full would be rude
But I can’t drink it
I made the decision to hand it back and rush out of the door.

@Tener_president America’s history is quite rich and interesting, thanks to printing so much of it was recorded. The idea that America has no culture or history was actually a Soviet propaganda point, so I look to anyone repeating this today as influenced by communists and not worth talking to
