Just looking at the way the DSS dragged Justice Crack out of court like he’s a common criminal, his only crime was asking that our military personnel’s be treated better and that’s all!!!
This guy was abducted for days and the military only came out to speak after national outrage, what if he wasn’t popular, he would have just disappeared like that and nothing will happen.

While Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON was in Abuja today evening, we heard about the emergence of a coronation which is called a "consensus" for all the elective positions in Gombe State. Legally, there can be no valid consensus without involving the aspirants who have obtained or completed their expression of interest and nomination forms. We advise all our supporters to remain calm and law-abiding. However, the total disregard for the provisions of the law cannot be ignored by us. The Nigeria Electoral Act, 2026, outlines the modes of nomination in Section 84 (2): Political parties are restricted to only two methods for selecting candidates in which coronation is not among them. The two methods are: 1) Consensus: A candidate may emerge if all cleared aspirants provide written consent to step down. If even one aspirant refuses, the party must revert to a direct primary. 2) Direct Primaries: Every registered party member has the right to vote directly for their preferred aspirant. The action is completely contrary to the provisions of the law, the directive of the National Party, and the instruction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We urge our supporters to get ready for direct primaries after addressing major challenges in the APC database in the state. Our legal team is also working on addressing the challenges and observations. May Allah bless Gombe State and may Allah bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thank you all. Update: We have received several invitations for Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON, from media outlets to discuss the coronation ceremony that took place in Gombe yesterday, described as a "consensus" which is completely against the law.
Why is the major beneficiary of primary elections now running away from it?

You make a valid point about prioritizing competence and track record. If Gwamna's tenure at KEDCO was indeed marked by mismanagement, that raises legitimate concerns about his suitability for governor. Prof. Pantami's academic and political experience does seem like a stronger fit for Gombe's progress.
Unfortunately the political system in Nigeria doesn't work like that, the good and more competent aren't given the fair chance to run for office.

Gombe is my second home, and it has a history of electing good governors. Unfortunately, Governor Inuwa Yahya has chosen Isyaku Gwamna, who is said to have been involved in the mismanagement of the Kano Electricity Distribution Company when he was MD, over an academic and successful politician, Prof. Ali Pantami, a former minister.
The same way some people believe he performed poorly while serving as MD of KEDCO, critics argue that he may not be suitable for governor in Gombe State. The state deserves better, and the likes of Prof. Pantami should rule the state.

I'm also from Gombe state, we cannot allow someone that can come and saw division among Gombe people. Pantami is not neutral. When he was the Director in NCC and also the Minister, no single Christian got an appointment through him, all his appointees are Muslims. Go and verify. JIG is loved by all in Gombe state and he's the next Governor.

To establish a new MNO in Nigeria you are looking at billions of dollars in spectrum auctions and licensing. In comparison countries like Benin Republic and Ghana have historically offered much more flexible entry points to encourage new infrastructure. The system is intentionally designed to be so expensive that no new competitor can afford to challenge the giants.
We must hold the government and NCC accountable. By coming up with these ridiculous prices for registration and licensing they have effectively sold the Nigerian consumer to a monopoly. If we want better data prices we don't just need to #OccupyMTN. We need to fight the laws that kill competition before it starts.
