That Orban’s defeat is - and should be - seen as such a victory for the West says something about the way that he has become the spokesman and agent of Russia and the autocratic world. The sane Right should cheer this.

Further to my piece and amidst recent polling shenanigans, it’s likely the coming local elections will be the last occasion the going is relatively easy for Reform. Populist energies don’t last, so there’s no better time for it to begin laying down roots.
