@ffdataroma I think the Seahawks were pretty public that they wanted to trade down from 32. The fact that they didn’t helps some, but it would seem reasonable to treat him more as ~45-60 capital. Which is still solid, but this was a super weak RB class in the first place. Charb is a factor

Not trying to quote dunk but this brings up some of my main issues with the Jadarian Price debate. For one, pattern matching is just a poor way to evaluate IMO. Every situation is different and this highlights clear outliers rather than the norm (7 examples since 2018). On that note, 4 out of 7 of these guys didn’t come near Price’s capital, so they’re pretty irrelevant here. And most of these backfields had much more established competition than 2026 Seattle does. Not to mention, I would argue that 5 of these 7 outcomes would’ve been solid to strong picks in round 6 of drafts. CEH would’ve been a smash year 1 in round 6. The two semi-comparable backfields (if you really want to pattern match) are SEA and NE 2018 (R1 back w/ minimal established competition). But Michel had a solid season there so not even sure that’s a comparison those arguing against Price would want to make. If you really want to bet on Holani becoming the next James White or Emanuel Wilson becoming the next Carson, go for it. But by no means should that be viewed as a likely outcome. And I get the prospect strength issue, I have my own model which did not peg Price as a good 1st round pick (as did any model). He’s not the best prospect, but there’s a reason draft capital is close to as predictive as any model you’ll find. It generally predicts talent quite well, and it determines volume pretty consistently (at least early on in careers). At a 6th round ADP, Price does not have to be some stud prospect to hit big in year 1. He just needs to be good enough to earn volume in this offense.

@ffdataroma They probably assumed the same thing about all these rookies drafted highly walking into a situation with a lot of vacated carries… Feels like this is a classic situation of ignoring a bad prospect because they have good situation/opportunity.

@WutWoodJaydenDo @AddisonHayes_ Not hating on Fannin or even Gadsden. Just calling out the Chargers have a lot of pass catching options and not everyone can play starter snaps

@XavierLegett @AddisonHayes_ Fannin was one of the best players in the nfl last year man, he’d get a ton of playing time anywhere. He’s a YAC monster which every team wants

Oronde Gadsden had one of the greatest 6-game stretches I’ve ever seen from a rookie TE. From Weeks 6-11 last year, he averaged 5 receptions and 72 yards per game. He was on pace for 90 receptions, over 1200 yards, and 6 TDs and was the TE7 in PPG, right there with Warren and Kittle and ahead of LaPorta, Fannin, Pitts, and Loveland. We're all excited for this Chargers offense under Mike McDaniel for Herbert, Hampton, Ladd, and some QJ, but I haven't seen any excitement Oronde Gadsden despite McDaniel's TEs being extremely fantasy relevant to legit league winners the past two years: - Jonnu Smith was the TE4 overall in 2024 and barely did anything the first month of the season - Darren Waller came out of retirement and was averaging double-digit PPG - Greg Dulcich ended the year with 40+ yards in 5/9 games The OL is healthy, Keenan Allen is gone, I don't care at all about Njoku/Kolar - Gadsden is a legitimate threat as the Chargers big-slot and can be a weapon for fantasy football. And the best part, he's basically free in redraft! If he hits, he could be a league winner just on ADP alone!

Giants insider believes Isaiah Likely will play more than 60% of offensive snaps Cites more 12 and 13 personnel (consistent with other reports) Take: Think most assume this, but we want to hear that he doesn’t somehow slot back into this 60% snap share role.

A Cardinals exec successfully hitting a parlay on their own draft picks is genuinely the most competent thing the franchise has done in the last 15 years

@kingkongistvan @DhananiZain @JimmyKempski Agree completely. Sorry, we probably were speaking past each other and I’m a dick on here. I meant to say why are we bothering to say the slot WR is “clearly behind” Mundt. If Mundt is running ahead of Calc, that is interesting-makes sense if Calc is a bad blocker

@XavierLegett @DhananiZain @JimmyKempski Stowers is not going to play inline at all. The early camp reports were that he was going to get some snaps as an X (probably overlap with Johnny Wilson's role a bit and make him expendable) Mundt is necessary.

@mbappefan112 @thejoeholkashow I like Gainwell but I don’t think he was brought in to get the majority of carries. Hell, if Bucky went down, I’d expect Tucker to get more carries

@JZ34183811 @AddisonHayes_ No, but my league also doesn’t give out fantasy points for waters given out to teammates from the bench. I doubt Gadsden is a healthy scratch, but I wouldn’t bank on 70%+ route participation. 30-60% seems more reasonable

@AddisonHayes_ 1. Fannin is at least more functional, 2. I would also have concerns about Fannin’s playing time in LAC if you swapped him in for Gadsden. There was no one else in CLE last year-they had to rely on Fannin. For this year, LAC arguably has the deepest pass catcher group in the NFL

@RB1_FF “Went out and chose” is the only way to put it. It’s not like they brought in a Tyrod Taylor career backup type guy. Tua to the Falcons was a done deal before FA even started and before he was even officially cut

@XavierLegett Phrasing it as “went out and chose” is pretty off the mark imo. Atlanta was going to sign a QB no matter what, for depth and because of Penix’s injury. It’s not like they went out of their way to sign him to a massive contract or anything. Tua is just what there was on the market

I know KTC is an imperfect tool but it is time to sell Quinshon Judkins … he is peaking in value just like BTJ did last year You can’t look me dead in the eyes and tell me you truly believe he will be valued over any of these guys this time next year There’s 5+ RBs not listed I’d take over him right now

@ffspacepod Jeanty would need a monster workload (which he may well get, to be fair) to offset him being bad, his OL being bad, and his QBs being bad All the cardinals RB discourse is so silly acting like Allgeier was some top 20 back all of a sudden
