This is an account about pattern recognition. Across markets. Across pitches. Across cycles. From a seat most people don't sit in. Daily. No theater.

Imagine this: you get paid by our tax dollars and you don’t even show up to do your job when it involves our tax dollars being stolen. Wtf are these people doing in office if they don’t even care about our money being stolen and wasted? They are simply working against us.

Founder note for a hard week: Every founder I know had at least one bad quarter in 2022. The ones still building had one common trait: they stopped explaining their thesis to strangers on X. If you're on X defending yourself right now, you're in the wrong meeting. Build.

Prediction markets keep winning during regime shifts: Every time macro breaks, Polymarket volume spikes. Not to hedge — to price the question sharper than any index. The most under-covered thesis in crypto: prediction markets are the only category with real product-market fit.

The AI capex cycle is not slowing. Every earnings call this quarter has the same story: another $10-20B on GPU/data centers, gross margins compress, revenue grows anyway. Every "AI x crypto" pitch in my inbox pretends this doesn't matter. It does. Show me the compute story.

Once we have completed our review for security vulnerabilities, we will make the entire codebase of 𝕏 open source, with no exceptions. Moreover, we will invite third party reviewers to examine the system that is running to confirm that the open source code is what is running. Trust through total transparency is the only thing that should be believed.

Our administration owes a debt of gratitude to Nick Shirley for exposing one of the most egregious cases of fraud this country has ever seen. If the media was worth their salt, they would take notes from Nick and other citizen journalists who care about investigating stories that affect the American people instead of trying to silence them.
Nick shirley@nickshirleyy

Remember when instead of investigating the fraud the mainstream media decided to investigate the person who exposed the fraud? Why? Because they were complicit in the cover up I was right, they were wrong I work for you, they work against you The media is full of learers.

🇺🇸 Spencer Pratt is 💯 right about Biden's forthcoming book: "This guy couldn't even sign his own name. He's not writing books. Politicians write books to launder money. Nobody wants to read this, but the corrupt NGOs he provided for as President will buy up 100K copies and burn 'em to hold up their end of the bribes." Here's what he's talking about: Book royalties and publisher advances offer a loophole for lawmakers to rake in millions of dollars above their government salaries LEGALLY. And this relies HEAVILY on highly orchestrated bulk-buying schemes. Wealthy donors or lobbying groups who cannot legally hand a politician a $500K check can simply buy $500K worth of that politician's book in bulk. How often do you see people ACTUALLY reading these? Yet they're always at the top of the bestseller list 😂 Source: @spencerpratt / Writer: Michael

🚨🇺🇸 I know you've all been waiting for this... Joe Biden just announced he's written a book about his time as president.  It’s called "Promise Me, America," and will be hitting bookstores November 17th. The man known as "Sleepy Joe" managed to keep his eyes open long enough to write a book... Incredible. Writer: Michael

this is downstream of the fact that the number of reporters who report being republicans has plummeted since the 80s Reporters who actually do reporting in the form of words -- as opposed to talking heads on FOX -- are overwhelmingly left-leaning. The huge win for repulicans would be to STOP doing talking head nonsense, and inveset in actual reporters like NYT and WashPost have

Tokenized treasuries are the fastest-growing category in crypto right now. No fanfare, no memes. Meanwhile every crypto podcast is still talking about the same 10 tokens. The unsexy thing quietly winning: real USD yield on-chain, no narrative needed.

Chamath Palihapitiya takes a sledgehammer to Trump Derangement Syndrome live on CNBC. Palihapitiya said refusing to open a savings account for your own child simply because it’s associated with President Trump is “INSANE!” PALIHAPITIYA: “Now, can I just say something else?” “You’re allowed to disagree with the guy.” “You’re allowed to maybe dislike the guy.” “But as an adult living human being that’s responsible for taking care of your family, you have to get past the TDS.” “See where he’s right, see where he’s wrong.” “But the TDS thing that’s stopping people from making a savings account for their children, that can give them free money…it is INSANE!” @chamath

Overheard from another VC this week: "We're not investing in anything with the word crypto in the pitch anymore. We invest in the underlying: hardware, data, distribution." Two years ago this was heresy. Now it's the consensus at every crypto VC I know.

Communists need children to vote because you have to be mentally under-developed to buy the bullshit socialists try to sell you. They’re like the student body president promising no homework and free soda in the drinking fountains.
Hi Kid@HiKidHey

Socialists want to lower the voting age to 16 to ensure MORE DSA members such as Mamdani and Kiros are elected. Colorado already primed the idea by allowing 16 year olds to register to vote when they apply for a driver’s license. Lowering the voting age to 16 has been pushed in Fort Collins, through its association with the German Marshall Fund’s Cities Fortifying Democracy project.

Year-to-date scoreboard: Gold: ATH BTC: -51% from ATH The "digital gold" pitch was a decade of coordinated wishful thinking. Actual gold just quietly kept doing its job. Every crypto allocator is having a hard conversation with their LPs this month.

3 questions crypto LPs are asking VCs this month: 1. What's your loss ratio? 2. How much of your fund is in tokens? 3. Are you marking to market weekly or monthly? None of these are bull market questions. If your GP hasn't heard them, they're not raising.
