However, combat, canning, and crafting are not automated, and make up the bread and butter of this grand strategy mmo. Try not to miss the forest for the trees.

Playing @StarAtlas Holosim has been so much fun. It initially was bugged, but a simple PC reset solved it. Finally, I can send it to family and IRL friends, and they can have fun playing. It's extremely low friction and seamless onboarding! Nice one, SA team!

Buckle up. As goes $ATLAS, so goes your prosperity. With the current rise of interest in Star Atlas, I want to take a moment to remind and reinforce with people that we already have one of, if not THE most robust game economies in web3 -- perhaps the world. This is exemplified by our Quarterly State of the Economy Report, the latest of which can be found here: staratlas.com/newsroom/econo… $ATLAS is a low-inflation game currency, medium of exchange, and initial subsidy to the Star Atlas economy. While 49% of the total supply is in circulation (and 12% of that in the locker), the remaining 51% will be distributed over a declining emission curve over 5 years. With all token vesting complete, and the FTX bankruptcy liquidation behind us, the best avenue to securing $ATLAS is through gameplay. If you didn't know, the P2E economy in SAGE has been BOOMING for over a year now. There are many ways to engage, even with small fleets. I'll note, Star Atlas is designed to have a sustainable economy. So don't expect to get rich quick. Earnings potential scales with capital employed in assets. But to give you a few ideas of how to earn: 1. Starbased: Loyalty Points. Work with your faction to harvest resources, craft components, and upgrade Starbases. This will earn you Loyalty Points, and in turn, earn you a proportional share of daily emissions. 2. Mining & Crafting Careers: if the full LP loop seems too intimidating, you can specialize. There are many resources in game, and four base consumable resources all players need (food, fuel, ammunition, and toolkits). Focus on one. Produce en masse. And sell to players in need. 2a. Special note -- crafting requires crew. The more crew you have, the faster you can craft. We just launched Crew in August, and you can find them here: play.staratlas.com/market/?catego… Open card packs for a chance to unlock 6 tiers of rarity, with individual aptitudes, traits, gear, species, and backstories. These crew are great for SAGE, but also serve as your PFP, your in-game avatar (UE5), and will ultimately be your companion in our mobile move-to-earn app. You can also find pre-opened crew on @tensor_hq! Ship Crafting: While there are only a select few ships available to craft for now (ship manufacturing will be big business in the future), it's a path player's can take to receive a specific outcome. Mine resources, craft components, fulfill the recipe, and scale your fleet by receiving more ships. 4. Immediately on the horizon, we will be adding back "Requests for Resources" (under a new name), and introducing Local Markets. "RFRs" are again a path to a specific reward. Every RFR crafted will receive a fixed amount of $ATLAS when redeemed. 4a. Local Markets provides players with an opportunity to identify arbitrage in the galactic economy. All game assets in SAGE are coordinate locked onchain, and require transportation to move to a new location. Perhaps someone wants to purchase fuel for 10,000 ATLAS at MRZ-34, but you identified a seller for that same quantity for 9,000 ATLAS at UST-5. Buy the fuel, transport it to MRZ-34, and sell for a profit. Side Note: @BTH2620 created a great tutorial series for SAGE some time ago. In fairness, it isn't updated with all of the latest mechanics (because our team moves at lightning speed), but it's a great starting point for new players: youtu.be/SA-hyIr0pfA?si… 5. Data Runner: Take your data runner ship into space and scan for Survey Data Units (SDUs). You'll randomly discover these as you scan. These items are critical in Starbase upgrading, and will also be critical in the upcoming "RFR" recipes. Use them yourself, or sell them to other players. 6. A final note. The Golden Carnival is a limited time promotional series that let's players craft Golden Tickets (or purchase them on the marketplace from other players). These golden tickets can be entered into weekly drawings on @hedgehogmarkets, with $4,000,000 in loot being distributed. There are 16 weeks total, and we're drawing for week 5 today, so you still have time. Full calendar of drawings below. These are just the basic mechanics from SAGE, our browser implementation of the game. There's so much more coming in our UE5 epic space adventure MMO in 2025.
