@Xexzy I've got the misteraddons 2 player HDMI SNAC and 2 sets of level shifters and SNAC adapters from various vendors on AliExpress. They all have various issues.

Man, the user experience trying to play games with a genuine 6 button Sega controller on a #MiSTerFPGA is actually pretty terrible. I've tried a lot of adapters with about a dozen controllers and sometimes it feels like a miracle when everything just works. A short 🧵

@mista_b_man are you using the hdmi snac? i had issues with the original snac not registering controllers properly because I was using the original snac design

I just get the impression that not a lot of people are out here stress testing this kind of thing. The 6 button controller seems to have some tight tolerances on voltage and timing as well that seems to be at least part of the problem. It's just not great overall.

@nicksummy @WeBuyPinball the problem with hoarders is sometimes they realize things should go but they feel the need to keep it. i doubt a hoarder would ever sell

@WeBuyPinball Is the person still living there or are they trying to clear it out? I'm guessing the former. If so, sounds like it's doubtful any reasonable offer would be accepted

@Xexzy I was hesitant at first due to the asking price, but very glad I went for it. Can confirm that the movement was fun and it did feel like it would have fit right in if it were released in 1993 or so. I put it up there with Little Samson.

Played through "Sam's Journey" on NES over the past week. Absolutely incredible game. It plays so well, the music is great, the level design is amazing, the boss fights are creative. Checks every single one of my boxes for an NES game. My most sincere cheers to the creators!

Still kinda crazy that I sent 404 chat messages total in 2022. Cool progress, think I've defeated my chat shyness. Next goal is to stream more consistently and to integrate mic + be on cam.
