Last week I was asking a journalist (who works for a major Canadian media outlet) about this. This journalist agreed that Media in Canada had largely quit covering any opposing viewpoints to the government. This journalist speculated that it happed during Covid. They had become stenographers for the government, believing that they had a moral duty to get the “government’s” information out…..and they never quit. Maybe that’s true. Maybe it’s as simple as that (as horrifying as that is)….but I suspect it’s even worse. There are vested interests that don’t want the Liberals to ever lose power. In an free and democratic society the media has a responsibility to question the government and hold them accountable. Canadians deserve no less.

They're (potentially) gonna make the conference finals, despite room for obvious improvement. If we're talking preseason goals, we gotta be in the top 10% of outcomes here on the season imo, any more is pouring gravy on more more gravy But I’m a fat bitch, I want more gravy.

If they win tomorrow they’re in the conference final… One of their players won rookie of the year last year. They have 2 of the top 4 rookies this year. Would they like to upgrade the top-6…? Definitely. Is there “a lot of work to do.” No, the Canadiens are going to be a Cup contender for a decade.

Gotta give this Avs team so much credit. They had depth issues in years past, not anymore. Goals from Parker Kelly, Jack Drury, and Brett Kulak in key situations. A MacKinnon tying goal for extra measure. Truly. Is there anyone who can beat them?
