Finance Minister of Israel Bezalel Smotrich announces that Israel will begin expanding its borders into Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza, in alignment with the Greater Israel Project. Breaking: France is toughening up on Israel Per the ministry of Foreign affairs, France is ready to revisit the EU-Israel association agreement following Israel's disproportionate strikes in Lebanon The agreement, signed in 1995, established the framework for extensive commercial and political cooperation. Its the framework that allows Israel to participate in Erasmus+ or in Horizon Europe. The EU is Israel's first trading partner. Article 2 of the text emphasises that relations between the European Union and Israel are based on " respect for human rights and democratic principles". A commitment that has been challenged in Europe over the last few years. Spain and Ireland had been calling for its "review" since 2024.
