How many poor black South Africans actually own motorcycle licenses? How many South Africans have applied to Sixty60 and been rejected? If we are not willing to hold ourselves accountable as South Africans, we will never win this fight. I don’t know exactly how Sixty60 works, but with Uber, if you have a motorcycle, you can simply register as a driver. We need to acquire some of these skills before shifting the blame onto other people.

@Sixty60_Tweets Drivers have been arrested for breaking immigration laws but when will Checkers itself ever be held liable for continuously breaking the law by hiring illegal immigrants or foreigners without following due process???

The damage caused by the July unrest was severe. Some businesses and shops never reopened, lives and jobs were lost. Many people in KZN are still feeling the consequences today. Seeing videos of young pple doing something similar again is deeply concerning and I truly hope we do not repeat history. We are already in a very difficult economic situation. 😭😬

Did you know? Checkers Sixty60’s delivery drivers (operated by Pingo Delivery) sit at a massive demographic split: 🌍 77% Foreign national drivers 🇿🇦 23% Local South African drivers Shoprite claims local drivers face an 80% drop-out rate during bike training.

EmaXesibeni in Eastern Cape looking this empty tells you everything. Shutting down foreign-owned shops means nothing if South Africans are not stepping in to trade and keep our towns alive. This shows how much we’ve lost control of our own towns. We can’t celebrate empty streets. The goal should be to put our own people in control of the economy here. Until that happens, we are just stuck.

I have lived in villages, townships, CBD, and suburbs. Moving through these different spaces has shaped how I see the world and the realities people face each day. As someone currently privileged to live behind security fences and within gated communities, I cannot ignore the voices of those who do not have such protection. I will not dismiss them as charlatans, criminals or lumpens when they call on their government to ensure that only legally documented people must be in the country. Their demand is rooted in a desire for safety and security, something I partly enjoy through the walls around my home and the security patrols in my complex. And if I am unable to fully sympathize or empathize with their struggles, I would rather remain respectfully quiet than deny or dismiss their lived experiences. I will also not shy away from disagreeing with those who are more privileged when they attempt to silence the lived experiences of the less privileged. Morena boloka setjhaba sa heso, O fedise dintwa le matshwenyeho. 🙏🏽

The day people wake up and understand that EFF stands for human rights, equality, and the dignity of African people, that will be the day they awaken to justice. Gays, women, Africans, the poor, the sick, unbelievers, feminists... We should all stand for, and stand with the EFF.

@SixoGcilishe @Julius_S_Malema China is protecting China's interest not Asia's interests. America is protecting America interests not Cuba or Mexico interests. Europe has isolated Russia and even took businesses that were owned by Russians.

@_rhodium_1 @cebo369 @Bongymngomezulu @ladopegp @ThePromiseCFC Remove dstv so that you can stop following European football and revive your league. A stronger Hearts of oak and Asante kotoko is good for African football and economy of Ghana. We grew up knowing Asante derby but since dstv came in you dumped them for Europeans

Make no one lie to you South Africa takes more from Ghana than we are taking from them. If our bilateral relationship is destroyed because of some of group of ignorant SAns, they would have themselves to blame. A so called developed country should have the right immigration systems to sieve and regulate immigrants. Goldfield,MTN,DSTV must leave our with immediate effect

@ThePromiseCFC By the way dstv is doing more harm than good to your local football. You don't support your Ghanaians teams anymore you are busy supporting Europeans teams. If dstv were to close shop in your country maybe you would start supporting Hearts of oak and Asante kotoko again
