TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI DEFEAT MULTIPLE TERRORIST ATTACKS, DELIVER FOLLOW-ON PRECISION STRIKES, RESCUE CIVILIANS Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), on 22 April 2026, successfully repelled coordinated terrorist attacks at Kanama, Ngoshe, and Banki across the Theatre. The attacks, which occurred at various times during the day, were decisively defeated through the vigilant response of troops and effective fire control, with no adverse reports recorded. The failed assaults further underscore the sustained combat readiness of OPHK troops and their dominance in denying terrorists freedom of action. In continuation of offensive operations, OPHK conducted follow-on precision air interdiction missions, including a strike at about 0315 hours on 22 April 2026 at Sowolowolo in the Sambisa Forest axis. The strike, executed after target confirmation, destroyed the remaining terrorist gun trucks in the area, bringing the total number of neutralised platforms to three. Additionally, another precision strike at Kaniram in the Mallam Fatori axis targeted terrorists observed conducting burial activities following earlier OPHK strikes, resulting in the neutralisation of scores of fleeing and regrouping elements. Further demonstrating operational effectiveness, troops of Sector 1, under 26 Brigade, conducted search and rescue operations towards the Mandara Mountains, successfully rescuing 15 women and children earlier abducted by terrorists. In a desperate but ineffective response, JAS elements fired projectiles into Gwoza, causing no casualties or damage. These coordinated successes highlight OPHK’s sustained offensive pressure, effective air–land integration, and commitment to protecting civilians while dismantling terrorist capabilities. Troops will continue to maintain relentless operations to dominate the battlespace and ensure terrorists are decisively defeated across the Joint Operations Area. Military High Command commends troops for their gallantry and resilience while urging them to sustain the operational tempo. My army friend told me how voodoo failed one of his colleague in an operation in zamfara. He said they got intel that armed bandits were going to pass through a road in Zamfara, so they got prepared and waited for almost three hours watching the road. Then finally, the bandits started coming on bike. According to him, the moment the bandits got close enough, his colleague fired a

OPERATION HADIN KAI TROOPS FOIL TERRORIST ATTACK AT KUKARETA, INFLICT HEAVY LOSSES, RECOVER ARMS CACHE Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), under Sector 2 in the early hours of 23 April 2026, successfully repelled a determined terrorist attack on KUKARETA location. The attack, which commenced shortly after midnight and lasted until about 0300 hours, was met with a swift and coordinated response by vigilant troops who executed a deliberate offensive-defensive action, effectively containing the assault and forcing the terrorists into a disorderly withdrawal. During the engagement, troops inflicted heavy casualties on the attackers, with 24 terrorists neutralised so far. Ongoing exploitation of the battlefield has led to the recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition, including 18 AK-47 rifles, 3 General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG), 2 PKT automatic anti-aircraft guns, 3 RPG tubes, 2 mortar tubes, 4 hand grenades, 18 AK-47 magazines, and large quantities of belted 7.62mm ammunition for PKT systems. Troops recorded 2 personnel wounded in action, who have been stabilised, while one reinforcing armoured tank sustained damage with all tyres blown out during the engagement. Exploitation operations are ongoing to recover additional bodies and equipment along the terrorists’ withdrawal routes littered with blood trails and medical consumables. This successful operations highlights the resilience, combat readiness and fire superiority of OPHK troops in denying terrorists freedom of action. Operations will continue with sustained offensive pressure to consolidate gains and decisively defeat all terrorist elements across the Joint Operations Area. Nigeria Must Prioritise Education or Risk Falling Further Behind. Yesterday, at Coal City University Enugu I delivered a lecture on 'Repositioning Nigeria’s education sector for national growth and global competitiveness' I also seized the opportunity to commend the Vice-Chancellor and the entire management of the University for their commitment to academic excellence and for providing a platform for meaningful national discourse. No nation rises above the quality of its education system. Nigeria’s current low Human Development Index (HDI) score of 0.548 and persistent high unemployment are clear symptoms of chronic underinvestment in education and human capital development. The data is equally revealing. Nigeria allocates less than 10% of its budget to education, far below the 15–20% global benchmark. Youth unemployment and underemployment exceed 30%, while life expectancy remains among the lowest 50–55 years. Literacy levels hover below average 59% and 65%, all of which point to deep structural weaknesses in our development trajectory. In contrast, comparable countries such as Indonesia and Egypt, and South Africa have high HDI levels with HDI scores of 0.72–0.75. They all have higher life expectancy of above 65 years, higher literacy levels and higher per capita incomes of $3,500 above, while Nigeria is about $1000. This stronger progress was through sustained and deliberate investment in education, healthcare, and broader human capital development. The difference is not in talent, but in priority and policy consistency. We must move beyond rhetoric and confront these realities with urgency. I therefore called for a total review of Nigeria’s education funding model, stronger public-private partnerships, and more inclusive policies that recognise the role of both public and private institutions in educating Nigerian students. It is difficult to justify excluding private universities from intervention frameworks like TETFund when they are actively contributing to national capacity building. Education is not charity; it is the foundation of national growth and the gateway to global competitiveness. With sustained investment in education and a deliberate focus on human capital development, a new Nigeria is not only POssible - it is inevitable. -PO

Tinubu added N71.82 TRILLION to Nigeria’s debt in less than 3 years. That’s more than Buhari borrowed in 8 years. Nigeria now owes N159 trillion. This man taxed everyone, removed subsidy and borrowed more money. WHERE IS THE MONEY❓ APC came to loot, not to lead.

If no one is willing to join me to cry to secure the release of my youngest sister from the harsh and harrowing den of kidnappers, I will cry my cry with my tiny voice until I am heard. If the Nigerian government is not intentional and willing to secure her release, I will cry to the international community for help. I was not a party to the coming of a failed government. Neither are my siblings nor parent. We will not be victims of what we were not parties to.
