Cheema sb, there has been no khair from Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for any country, especially Muslim nations, since its rise. Our Field Marshal has played his role with wisdom, patience, and responsibility—trying every possible path for peace while also exposing the true face of this force to those still confused. If tomorrow Pakistan is compelled to take a clear position, then every Pakistani should understand the reality, rise above emotions, and stand firmly beside our national interests.

Trying to understand your point, sir. Why would Iran give Asim Munir a hard time? Doesn’t Iran want a mediator? Is there any country with leverage over the US that Pakistan lacks? Is there any country who can deliver any guarantee either on behalf of US or Iran?

I told @ft on Gen Munir and Pakistan’s delicate mediating role: In Tehran, they would have given him [Munir] a difficult time, and questioned why he was pushing so hard for mediation — was it genuine or was he part of a ruse to get them to bring their guard down. Pakistanis are serious interlocutors, but what they can’t deliver is any guarantees on Trump’s behavior. They can’t say we promise the US won’t do A, B, C.
