Personally, I think publicly posting accusations of art plagiarism and publicly naming specific artists is horrible for the NFT community. Nobody has the right to appoint themselves as Sheriff of the NFT community. Yes, art plagiarism is wrong, but any concerns that someone has should be handled privately through DMs with the artists, collectors, and marketplaces involved. Sadly, I think some people in the community destroy artists reputations without any due process because they want to feel important and increase engagement.

Saying this based on >15 years talking about gifs in casual conversations, partying, or any other 'no art context'. When asked what I do for my living and I reply gifs, 100% of the time they reply 'ah! funny stuff, cats and memes!'. It's long ago since I just smile and say: yes... yes...🤭 I won't stop until people reply: A digital artist.

There is a constant (but funny) missunderstanding that people think that the fact of using Gif makes the art old, low quality, superficial, while using video makes the art contemporary, refined and deep. For those who understand Gif format, happens exactly the opposite. Video older than gif Every gif can be a video, but not the other way around. Complex≠Deep HD≠HQ Let's keep elevating Gif format.
