El vecino respondió y se disculpó, diciendo que su apartamento se llenaba de gases del calentador de agua, que él se había apurado a abrir las ventanas y las puertas. Le cambiaron el calentador de agua, pero la familia, con la bebé incluida, siguió experimentando los gases calientes. Resulta que el chino les inyectaba una sustancia química por debajo de la puerta, que pudo descubrirse gracias a dos cámaras ocultas que el vecino instaló a la entrada, escondida en una maceta. Fue arrestado, pero no le pusieron el cargo de intento de asesinato, sino de dispersar un agente químico, de poseer una sustancia controlada y de acoso agravado. Este hijo de puta estaba haciendo enfermar a la bebé de la casa con sus gases químicos. Lo deportaron en 2023.
