In Yr2 @fircroftSW17 we have been examining plants for our new theme, How does your garden grow? We have also been looking at seeds and bulbs.

In art in Yr2 @fircroftSW17 we have been doing lots of collaborative art work. We have been using our whole bodies to draw spirals inspired by nature. We also drew huge connecting circle art work inspired by Molly Haslund.

As part of our theme ‘Beside the Seaside’ @Y2_Fircroft had a fantastic trip to London Aquarium. We saw huge sharks with their toothy grins and tiny stringy jellyfish. What an amazing time we had!

For our excite event ‘A Trip Around Britain,’ Year 2 kicked off our Geography with a show and tell about all the places we visited in Britain. Now we are finishing fact files all about the United Kingdom! Have a look at some of our fantastic booklets! @fircroftSW17

Loving our maths lesson today, we learnt the names of 3D shapes. Shapes with flat faces were much better for building towers!

In Year 1 we jumped into our @NationalGallery #TakeOnePicture project… by jumping into the painting! We built up the sounds and shapes of ‘Surprised!’ using our bodies… 🐯🌳⛈ @fircroftSW17 #roleplay #soundscape

Thank you to the Buckingham Palace Royal Mews @RCT for such a warm welcome and exciting workshop today! Our highlights were the #GoldStateCoach and of course, the horses 😍🐴 @fircroftSW17

Beech class wishes it could be #OutdoorClassroomDay every day too! We were grateful for the ☀️ and fresh air as we produced fantastic nature art 🍃 🌸, built cosy dens ⛺️ practiced our phonics and explored shape and form in watercolours 🖼️ Happy Days! 😁 @fircroftSW17

We wish every day was #OutdoorClassroomDay! 🌻 Ash class began the day with some team den building⛺️, then we moved to the garden hub for a scavenger hunt and nature art project🍃. Later on we practised phonics outdoors 🗣 and ended with playground watercolours!🎨 @fircroftSW17
