The @YALIAlumniSO extends congratulations to @FauziaBashir on her new role as Senior Advisor for International Relations & Development at the @SomaliPM. Her support as Public & Alumni Engagement Officer at @US2SOMALIA was instrumental in enhancing our chapter’s impact and reach.

The Alumni Chapter of Somalia engaged with the U.S. Ambassador to Somalia, H.E. Amb. Riley and other Embassy officials including the new public Affairs officer Christy Watkins. We had productive discussions on fostering impactful partnerships for Somalia’s peace and development.

A proud moment as we bid farewell to #Cohort55, winners of the prestigious YALI Leadership Training Program! 🎓 During our farewell meeting, we have shared experiences and tips that will help them successfully complete their month-long stay will be in Nairobi.

The dogmatic assumption that fragile countries lack the necessary capacity has become an impediment to unlocking climate financing and delivering sustainable development—my remarks at the #FragilityForum 2024 side event on plugging the climate finance gap.
