After four years full of challenges and hard work, it's time to move on.
I leave with the feeling that the mission is complete. 4 seasons, 3 championships.
I will never forget the love I received from the fans from my very first days.
Catalonia is my place on earth.
Thank you to everyone I met along the way during these beautiful four years.
A special thank you to President Laporta for giving me the chance to live the most incredible chapter of my career.
Barça is back where it belongs.
Visca el Barça. Visca Catalunya 💙❤️

If LeBron James or Lionel Messi showed up at your basketball game or football match and asked to join your team, you wouldn’t just say yes, you’d hand them captaincy and get out of their way.
You’d trust them without question, cos you know what they’ve done, you’ve seen the results, and you trust their expertise completely.
If Steve Jobs knocked on your garage door and offered to help build your startup, you wouldn’t micromanage him. You’d give him the keys and consider it the opportunity of a lifetime.
You’d do all of this instantly. Without hesitation.
So why do we struggle so much to hand Jesus the reins of our lives?
We say we believe He spoke the universe into existence. That He holds all wisdom, sees the beginning from the end, defeated death itself.
We say we trust Him.
But then we clutch our plans, our timelines, our understanding of how things should go.
We ask for His guidance but override it when it doesn’t make sense to us. We want Him on our team, but we still want to call the plays.
If we really believed who He is, not just intellectually, but in our bones, surrender wouldn’t feel like loss. It would feel like the most rational thing we could possibly do.
The gap between what we say we believe and how tightly we grip control might be the most honest measure of our faith.

@Mister_Mash @deltanmuslimah Wrong. Interesting show. But the court sessions and how they act in court is in no way practical.
English

@deltanmuslimah Watch it, you’d think so too. The dialogue, the court sessions, all too real

Lincoln Lawyer is the closest thing to an actual depiction of law in practice. Way ahead of Suits, How To Get Away With Murder et all.

@kennethefenovwe @XBrianDennis Boston Legal is my best legal show ever. Alan shore and Denny Crane. But it is also widely exaggerated. Their numerous theatrics in court does not reflect the true decorum/proceedings in an actual court.

Nigerian Companies Can Choose Foreign Jurisdiction for Contract Dispute Resolution
Sqimnga (Nig.) Ltd. v. S.A.P. (Nig.) Ltd. (2025) 2 NWLR (Pt. 1977) 423
Question: Can two Nigerian companies agree in a contract that their relationship will be governed by foreign law and that any dispute will be decided by a foreign court?
Short answer: Yes. Nigerian courts will usually respect that choice, even if both companies are Nigerian and the business was done in Nigeria.
Legal Background
Commercial contracts often contain a key clause:
one that say which country’s law will apply and which country's courts will hear disputes.
It is the "Governing Law" clause.
Nigerian law allows parties to make these choices for themselves. This is called party autonomy. The general rule is simple: if you freely agree to a foreign law or a foreign court, Nigerian courts will hold you to it.
A Nigerian court can ignore such a clause, but only for strong reasons. It must be shown that insisting on the foreign court will cause real hardship or injustice. Mere inconvenience is not enough.
Facts in Brief
Sqimnga and Systems Applications Products were both Nigerian companies. They signed a contract which stated that:
the agreement would be governed by South African law, and any dispute would be resolved only by South African courts.
When a dispute arose, Sqimnga sued in Nigeria. SAP objected and pointed to the contract. The trial court declined jurisdiction. Sqimnga appealed to the Court of Appeal.
Competing Arguments
• Sqimnga argued: We are both Nigerian companies. The contract was performed in Nigeria. It is expensive and inconvenient to litigate in South Africa. Nigerian courts should hear this case.
• SAP argued: The parties freely chose South Africa. There was no fraud or pressure. The court must enforce the contract as written.
Core Holding
The Court of Appeal agreed with SAP. It held that:
- Parties are bound by the jurisdiction clause they freely agreed to.
- Nigerian courts will not lightly override such clauses.
- To escape a foreign forum, a party must show concrete facts proving real hardship or injustice.
Sqimnga did not provide any such evidence. So, the Nigerian courts declined jurisdiction.
In simple terms: two Nigerian companies can choose foreign law and a foreign court, and Nigerian courts will usually respect that choice.
What to learn from this
- Jurisdiction and governing law clauses are serious.
- If you agree to a foreign court, you may have to travel there to fight your case.
- Nigerian courts will not save you from a bad bargain.
- Inconvenience is not enough. You must prove real unfairness.
The lesson is straightforward. Read those clauses carefully. Once you sign, where your contract sends you is where your dispute will likely go.
