Planting #aspen with a group of @YHA_Lakes staff last week. These will be monitored for growth and survival rate. Different types of protection from browsing used include ➡️ biodegradable tubes, reused tubes, a fenced exclosure and planting unprotected. @YHAOfficial @YHAEskdale

Day 3 with @YHA_Lakes staff & we were working on one of our neighbouring farms removing tree tubes. We took off about 400 tubes from some healthy looking trees. They'll now go for recycling or re-use. @YHAOfficial @YHAAmbleside @YHAKeswick @YHAConistonHH @YHAEskdale
