@GeroWallet No really. Holding tokens, claiming rewards every epoch and paying the fee, or losing the rewards if they were not claimed in the epoch, is not staking.

Hey everyone, We want to take a moment to share some important updates with you. These aren’t the easiest messages to write, but we believe in being transparent and straightforward with our community. App Release & Midnight Glacier Claim Our next app release was meant to include the one-click claim for the Midnight Glacier Drop 1. Unfortunately, we didn’t meet that goal on time. The truth is, we took on too much at once. We’ve been working on a very large release that includes architectural changes and major new features like the Gero Crypto Card, Enterprise Multi-Sig, Perpetuals, reporting tools, and more. Somewhere along the way, we underestimated how long the last 20% of the Glacier claim integration would take. On top of that, we focused heavily on features tied to revenue and stretched our dev resources too thin. We know many of you were waiting for this button in the wallet, and we didn’t deliver. For that, we’re sorry. Going forward, we’ll shift to smaller, more gradual releases so features don’t get stuck behind larger launches. In the meantime: you can still use the official Midnight Glacier portal to claim your $NIGHT token directly with Gero Wallet. We’re fully supported there, the only missing piece is the in-wallet shortcut. Infinity Pools Shutdown We also want to share that we’ve made the decision to shut down Infinity Pools. This was not taken lightly. Maintaining the infrastructure requires significant cost and time, and as a lean team we need to focus where we can have the most long-term impact. Our priorities going forward are clear: - Gero Card - In-app Perpetuals - Enterprise Multi-Sig wallet - Mobile App - Bitcoin DeFi What this means for you: - No action is required. Compensation for unclaimed airdrops will be sent automatically by the beginning of October. - The unclaimed tokens will be airdropped to wallets that had staking active. - We will add more $GERO tokens on top for each airdrop, regardless of how many NFTs were staked. - NFT staking rewards will no longer continue. $GERO token staking via @DripDropz_io will still take place. All you need to do is hold your $GERO tokens in your wallet and claim tokens each epoch from DripDropz. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who supported Infinity Pools and helped make it a part of the Gero ecosystem. This shift allows us to channel resources into areas we believe will bring even more value to our community. We take full responsibility for where we fell short, and we want you to know that our intentions have always been to build the best possible tools for this community. These changes, while not easy, are meant to make Gero stronger for the long run. Thank you for your patience, your trust, and for holding us accountable as we continue building together.
