Those were both disappointments for Disney. Period.
There is a reason why Feige is not continuing the Eternals storyline. The Black knight storyline with Kit Harrington and Blade all disappeared. The Marvels was a disaster versus box office expectations as well. No young Avengers, etc….
Do we need to mention the disasters of She Hulk, Echo and Secret Invasion which ruined the amazing Skrull storylines?!?
The reset was necessary and warranted.

Actually, it is totally understandable. Marvel is going to be resetting everything in its universe. We already know from the announcements that they will be redoing the X-Men, and that the next couple of stages will be built around the mutant saga. These avengers movies are the perfect way to send off the old cast. The new avengers and movies like the Eternals or the morals were tremendous disappointments. This is the perfect way to reset. That is part of the whole point of secret wars, which is the next avengers movie after this. I wish that Star Wars would do the same thing. Then we can erase the garbage trilogy that came out.

Christopher Nolan used to make movies like The Prestige.
Then he made Inception, which was definitely unique and a cool mind bender.
Then he made a movie about Matthew McConaughey ugly crying in outer space.
Then he made a movie for himself, with impossible to hear dialogue and an even more impossible to understand premise.
Then he made a porno pretending to be a movie about the atom bomb.
Then he made a gay Odyssey.
And that’s how you go from greatest director of a generation to satisfying the artistic tastes of David French.

Just watched the Odyssey. Glorious. Incredible. There is so much to unpack, and I'll be thinking about it for days. But there if I had to sum up the narrative arc in one sentence, it would be this -- heedless people, you will pay for what you've destroyed.

DC has tripped over itself repeatedly over and over and over again. It isn’t even a fair comparison. Remember, even the movies where Marvel stumbled the Marvels or things like that - they still made some money or were close to break even. Same with Star Wars.
DC on the other hand, has had outright failures. Their biggest successes are still not comparable to the MCU juggernaut

The one thing that each one of us has is our own personal opinions. You are conflating your own political biases into some ridiculous case on the behalf of the trans community. Many of us don’t agree with the casting for purely artistic and story reasons. I have enough respect for Christopher Nolan as a director to trust him with those choices. However, I don’t blindly follow all of his decisions and agree with everything that he does.
You seem to be unable to make the intellectual leap in a discussion because you are so wrapped up in something that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. As a result, you’re no different than the idiotic fake right wing zealots complaining about a movie that they even watched. Blind zealotry whether right or left wing is idiotic.
The Odyssey is a masterpiece. It isn’t perfect. So what… next.

Incredible scenes where Ben Shapiro actually loved THE ODYSSEY.
“It’s a masterpiece that’s an 8-9/10.”
In the review, he even defends the casting of Lupita Nyong’o and Zendaya, which was shocking to see.

The only one with an agenda seems to be you. You and your overly zealous anger over anyone who takes issue with the casting choice.
The casting choice was poor because in the transition age wise during the movie itself the child and the presumed adult look very, very similar physically. This contrast with Patterson‘s character casting - who seems to age pretty clearly (the youth and adult casting) and transitions nicely with the time change.
It really isn’t that hard. If you look at everything with your agenda’s glasses, then anything and everyone who disagrees with you must be a bigot. It is a classic zealot’s dilemma.
