re-organisation act, Nagpur which was earlier capital of Madhya Pradesh , was transferred to Maharashtra.
After evaluating all factors, the government officially declared Bhopal as the capital in 1956.

@nethrapal Do the UPSC examiners& interviewers become aware that a particular candidate’s paper is of an SC ST OBC . Similarly does the interview board know beforehand that a candidate is SC ST OBC.This question deserves an answer to level charge of casteism on UPSC which is often made.
The UPSC annual report 2022-23 shows how very few candidates from SC, ST, and OBCs are selected in spite of the large number of candidates applying for the same.
NDA&naval academy exams: 69235 SC, 14048 ST, and 225136 OBC applied. Just 11 SC, 01 ST and 91 OBC. What is the reason?

@nethrapal Before even passing any such order or advice SC should first emphasise on the process of its implementation and that process of implementation should also be scrutinised by SC after then only it should be implemented.
Karnataka Subcategorisation orders considers only absolute number of total employment without even comparing with population. Supreme Court has clearly mentioned that only Group A/B should be taken. When we take this we get results which are very different from the actual ones.
